Walter Anthony McGrosky

Walter A. McGrosky, age 52 – Passed away suddenly at his residence on December 18, 2012. He was a longtime resident of Southampton, previously of McMurray, PA. He was the loving son of Angela and the late Walter D. McGrosky.

Walter was the beloved husband of Ellen, married 26 years, and the devoted father of Amanda and Caitlyn. He will be sadly missed by his brother David, his sisters Lisa McGrosky-Kleja, Laurie Espe, his nieces and nephews, and by all who knew him.

Walt spent his entire career the NJ DOT, most recently as the Director for the Division of Project Management. He was a long-time member of Maplewood Swim Club and formerly served as the president of the Board of Directors. A lover of travel, the outdoors, and the ocean, Walt enjoyed biking, fishing, and scuba diving. He relished planning the trips he took around the world, and appreciated art, good food, and good wine. He was a fine, spirited cook who liked reading biographies and histories and enjoyed completing various projects around the house. Most of all, Walter adored spending his time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Service on Friday, December 28, 2012 at 2pm at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Churchville and Street Rds., Southampton PA. Friends may call on the family from 12 noon until time of service. Burial services will be private.
