Mr. Shipman was born May 5, 1967 in Union County Arkansas, son of the late Ronald Hugh and Peggy Jo Pepper Shipman. “Fritz” as he was known as to his many friends, served six years in the United States Navy aboard the USS Daniel Boone. After serving his country he was immediately recruited to work at Brunswick Nuclear Plant where he worked for 25 years. Fritz enjoyed kayaking, camping, and sailing with his friends. He loved to grill and share with his special neighbors.
Leaving to cherish his memory is his son, Drake Lyon Shipman; siblings, Kenneth “Dale” Shipman of Arkansas, “Jason” James Shipman of Arkansas, Jeremiah “Cody” Shipman of Ohio, and “Jodie” Michelle Richey of Arkansas; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at six o’clock in the evening on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral Service Chapel.
Friends are invited to share in a reception following the service at the funeral home.
