David was born in Washington, D.C. on November 29, 1939 and grew up in Beaver, PA. David served in the Marines for 27 years; including two tours in Vietnam and with Marine Helicopter Squadron One (HMX-1).
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 59 years, Mary Jean Nay; children, Todd Nay (Kelsey) and Mary Nay; grandchildren, Macey and Tenley; siblings, John Nay and Judy Croll and his many friends and extended family. David was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Mildred Nay.
A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport, NC on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00am. David will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery.
