

Mrs. Windham was born March 1, 1938, daughter of the late William and Beulah Eichelberger of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania.
She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Oak Island where she enjoyed singing in the choir and was involved with WMU. Mrs. Windham was a member of the Sea Notes Choral Society, the Oak Island Senior Center, Oak Island Community Resource Center, and she volunteered with the Oak Island Beautification Club, the Caswell Beach Turtle Watch, and the Oak Island Hope Chest Thrift Store.
She is survived by her two children, Steven L. Windham of Winchester, Virginia, and Krista Rystrom Emmert and husband Joseph of Oak Island, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and a sister, Ruth Cochran of Andrews, North Carolina.
Mrs. Windham was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Windham, Jr.; a son-in-law, CDR. Jon A. Rystrom; daughter-in-law, Tammy Windham; and six siblings.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Oak Island Community Resource Center in the summer of 2026.
