Edwardine Nickerson

Edwardine was born on July 31, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ. Edwardine graduated from Ferris High School in Jersey City and worked many years in the airline industry with British Airways before retiring in December of 1998 to live her life enjoying the beaches in FL, SC,and NC. Edwardine was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Southport, NC.

Edwardine is survived by her son, Martin Bouteloupt and his wife Kerry, grandchildren Colette McCully and her husband Matthew, Kyle Bouteloupt and his girlfriend Alexis Kemp. Edwardine is also survived by her dear brother John Nickerson and his wife Carol, along with many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Edwardine was predeceased by her parents, John Edward and Regina Nickerson, sisters Jacqueline Meehan and Rita Kearney, brother Eugene Nickerson and sister Marylou Nickerson.

Edwardine’s family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at The Landings of Oak Island, as well as Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington and the Legion of Mary Group of Sacred Heart Church in Southport, NC.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Southport, NC on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at 11:00 am.
