Grant Cecil Kemp

Grant Cecil Kemp, age 68, of Winnabow, North Carolina passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2021.

Grant was born July 26, 1953 in Bristol, TN. Grant was a veteran of the US Navy. He had worked at CP&L for twenty years. Grant will be remembered as a very special man who never met a stranger. The family was blessed to have had him.

Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Kemp; three daughters, Carol Boergers and husband Ryan, Summer Kemp and fiancé Joshua Canty, and Kattie Bickley; five grandchildren, Charlee Boergers, Meleah Kemp, Amari Kemp, Allie Bickley, and Jestinee Bickley; a brother, James Kemp; a sister, Margie Leonard; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by mom, dad, infant grandchild (Canty), sisters, and brothers.

In accordance with his wishes, a memorial ride will be held on October 2, 2021 with the Concerned Biker's Association.

I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Bebo/Grant. Mother (Nora) loved getting visits from him when he came to Bristol before she passed away. I remember as a kid when he would come home from the Navy and visit. We loved those visits!
Aunt Margie let us know when she would get to talk to him especially a few weeks ago when he was in the hospital.

Grant was a kind man who was a true friend. I’ve know him for 40 plus years. We always had a great conversation when I would see him in Lowe’s with his Grands. He will be missed.
