Mr. Gainey was born April 29, 1970, son of the late Merton Gainey Jr. and Linda Smith Gainey. He enjoyed going to church and spending time with his family and dogs. Bobby was always helping others, including being an organ donor after his passing. Anytime there was a need he was there to lend a helping hand. To him, family was everything.
He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Gainey; his mother, Linda Gainey; a daughter, Jessica Pace; two grandchildren; two sisters, Robbin Manges and Kimberly Mears; and his dogs, Rolo and Tanner.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Robert Gainey, IV; and two sisters, Regina Barrington and Debbie Smith.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1450 Old Ocean Highway, Bolivia, NC 28422.
