Ron was born October 31, 1940 in Buffalo, NY. He spent his formative years in the Hill District of Pittsburgh and Ellwood City, PA. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University and worked as a sales engineer in HVAC. He enjoyed golf, poker, basketball, puzzles, and good times with family and friends. Milestone birthdays and other occasions were celebrated with costume parties. His smile and gregarious personality are remembered fondly by all.
Survivors include his wife, Lynne Kracht; three children, Darci Kracht and husband Michael Stacey, Kenneth Kracht, and Timothy Kracht; a granddaughter, Claire Stacey; a brother, William Kracht; and a sister, Nylia Riggenbach. He was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Haus Kracht.
Due to COVID considerations, a celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chef Jose Andres' World Central Kitchen (wck.org).
