Ms. Lysaght was born June 18, 1964, daughter of Judith Lynch of Burgaw and Billy Carter of Lawrence, Kansas. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching soap operas and movies, listening to Stevie Nicks and Janice Joplin. Some of her favorite past times were spending time with her 10 grandchildren and spending time feeding the birds at the waterfront in Southport. All who knew her knew she loved cooking and putting her bodacious booty on the back of a Harley Davidson with Cheryl Kemp driving. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, granny, godmother, and a very special friend who never knew a stranger. Preceding her in death was her lifelong friend Will Morrison.
Leaving to cherish her memory are her children Lori and husband Daniel Kennedy of Pell City, Alabama and Holly and Becka Lysaght of Southport; sisters, Kathy Strickland of Burgaw and Cecil Martin of Tennessee; grandchildren ZaNhia, Addison, Zayne, Bailey, Jackson, Jamie, Jayden, Oliviya, Cade and Ella; nephews, Daniel and Joseph; niece Jessica; godchildren, Carol, Kattie, Allea, Jestinee, Summer, Meleah, Amari, Cody, Allen, Angel, Tanner, Hunter, Mackenzie, Tristen, and Sydnee; and longtime friends Cheryl, Grant, Debbie, Josh, and Christy; and husband Michael Coconutt Terry.
A memorial service will be 1pm Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Peacock-Newnam & White Funeral and Cremation Service in Southport.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 2-3pm at the funeral home.
