

Barbara Tobias, 70, of Cooper City, Florida, passed away on January 22nd, 2024, after a long and courageous battle with multiple myeloma and interstitial lung disease.
Barbara was born in 1953, in North Miami Beach, Florida to Florence and Donald Biller. After earning her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Florida, she returned to South Florida and met her future husband of 46 years, Benjamin. After a short 10 weeks of dating, the two were engaged and built a life together with their two children, Daniel and Rachel.
Barbara was a lively soul before she became ill and brought a special zeal for life to everything she did. She will be well remembered for her fun loving antics and always up for something new spirit that brought joy and laughter to those around her. Her take charge attitude and boisterous laughter attracted people to her.
In her work, Barbara was a dedicated and passionate teacher. She touched the lives of countless 4th and 5th grade students, many of whom still remember how to apply 'sibling rivalry' when adding fractions with different denominators. Barbara later joined her husband at Tobias Financial Advisors, bringing her laughter and organizational skills to their business.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Rachel. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin; her son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Jillian Tobias; her three grandchildren, Samuel, Nora, and Amira; her mother, Florence Biller; her sister, Pamela Beloff; her brother, Michael Biller; her five nieces and countless cousins and friends.
