Barry Richard Cohen

Barry Cohen, age 81, formerly of Randallstown, Maryland and Lehigh Acres, Florida, passed away on July 14, 2025.

Husband to the late Alexandra “Lexie” (Levin) Cohen, son of the late Charles and Bertha (Bloch) Cohen, brother to the late Michael I. Cohen. Father of Karen Levy (late husband Marshall) and Charles Cohen (wife Joyce). Adopted father of Joyce Aiello (husband Matthew). Grandfather to Mallory Carlson, Bayley Ingeneri (husband Andrew), Abigail Elliott (husband Robert), Carson Cohen, Aaron Cohen, Abby Mandelblatt, Joshua Mandelblatt (wife Hayley), Lorenzo Aiello, Logan Aiello and Jessica Avance. Great Grandfather to Mason Carlson, Jayden Levy, Cassy Danker, Blake Mulanax and Robert Elliot III. Great-Great Grandfather to Jayla Levy. Brother-in-law to the late Betsy Levin, Larry Levin (wife Rita) and Sally Levin. Uncle to Kendra Levin, Leah Levin, Eric Cohen and MiKayla Cohen.

Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Barry attended Baltimore City Community College before working for the United States Federal Government serving 37 years. After his first retirement and moving to Florida, he served 16 years with the Broward County, Florida Sheriff's Office within the Crime Stopper Division. Upon his second retirement, he spent much of his time supporting the Savanna Community in Weston, Florida as Vice President of their Board of Directors. Barry, along with his wife Lexie, were long-time supporters of the Weston Library.
