Abigail Heitzman

Abigail Heitzman, 91, of Lafayette, NJ passed away peacefully, on November 26, 2015 at Bristol Glen Health Care in Newton, NJ. Abigail was born in Staten Island, NY and worked for the Bendix Corporation during WWll. She then worked for the Drew Corporation and ended her working career at the McBride Company in Hawthorne, NJ where she retired as a secretary there. She was a member of the Oak Ridge Historical Society, Women’s Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 423, Sussex County Red Hats, Sussex County Senior Citizens, and the Milton United Methodist Church. Abigail is predeceased by her beloved husband Robert J. Heitzman. She is survived by her devoted children: Patricia Nederfield and her husband Neil and Wayne Heitzman and his wife Robin; grandchildren: Paula Fitt and her husband Aaron and Sean Nederfield and his wife Jennifer; brother Mervyn Pollock and great grandchildren: Nathan and Julia Fitt and Ashleigh Nederfield. Friends may call Monday 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St, Sparta, NJ 07871. A funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday at Milton United Methodist Church, 316 Dover-Milton Rd, Oak Ridge, NJ 07438. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory to the Milton United Methodist Church Thrift shop at the above address.
