Alan Jay Brause, 75, of Sparta, NJ passed away on September 27, 2015. Alan was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Sparta since 1978. He retired after 26 years as a Hoboken Fire Captain in Hoboken, NJ. Alan worked as a Special Police Officer for the Sparta Police Department for 10 years. He is predeceased by his son Douglas Howard Brause. He is survived by his devoted wife Lorraine Glebocki; devoted father of Deborah Lutz and her husband Robert of West Deptford, NJ; grandfather of Brandon and Madison Lutz and sisters: Susan Meyer and Marcia Schlissel.
