

Francis “Frank” Joseph Kerr, 68, of Byram passed away peacefully at home on May 4, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Francis was born in Paterson, NJ, grew up in Fairlawn, NJ and lived in Byram for 42 years. Frank was a 1959 graduate of Don Bosco Preparatory High School in Ramsey, NJ. He went on to join the NJ State Police in 1964 where he was a member of the NJ State Police SCUBA Unit and he was a member of the Association of Former NJ State Troopers. Frank retired in 1997 as a Lieutenant after 32 years of service. He is survived by his beloved wife Carolyn (nee Beattie) Kerr of 47 years; devoted father of Francis Kerr lll and his wife Debbie, Brian Kerr, and Kelly Callahan and her husband Terry. He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren Christopher, Cara, Michael, and Mary and sister Margaret Kurta and brother Frederick Kerr.
Friends may call Thursday, May 6th, from 2-4, 7-9pm at the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at Friday 11am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta. Interment will follow at Sparta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to either Karen Ann Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860 or Msgr. Charles C.
