James Joseph Dunn, Jr.

James J Dunn, age 76 of Sparta, New Jersey, passed away on September 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was the son of the late James J Dunn Sr. and Helen Henderson Dunn of West Philadelphia, Pa, beloved husband of Cathleen (Halfpenny) Dunn, proud father of James (Lauren) Dunn, Jennifer (Frank) Muth, Patrick (Angela) Dunn, loving grandfather of J.J., Kevin, Lacey & Gavin, fond brother of Helen (Bruce) Garrett, Thomas (Bernadette) Dunn, predeceased by sister Elizabeth (Joseph) Plunkett, and the caring uncle of 2 nieces, 6 nephews, 2 grandnieces, and 12 grandnephews,

Jimmy was a proud alum of West Catholic High School class of 1956, where he played basketball. He retired in 2000 after 42 years of service with Burroughs/Unisys Corporation. He was happiest spending time with his grandchildren, golfing and rooting for his beloved Philadelphia sports teams.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Thursday, October 2, 2014, 1pm at St. Dorothy’s Church, 4910 Township Line Rd., Drexel, PA 19026, followed by a reception at 2:30pm at Lamb’s Tavern, 865 W. Springfield Rd., Springfield, PA 19064.
