Josephine Chirichello Kane

Frankford Township- Josephine Kane nee (Chirichello) passed into eternal life with her family at her side, Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Sussex County Homestead Rehabilitation Center. She was 87.Born in Passaic, to John and Antoinette Chirichello nee (DePola) Josephine was a lifelong resident until 1995 when she moved to Sparta. She was employed for 20 years as accounts payable clerk for Hoffman-LaRoche in Nutley, retiring in 1980. After retiring, she volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital in Passaic and with other community groups. She was an active member of St. Nicholas’ Church in Passaic, serving as Eucharistic Minister and as RCIA Leader.Predeceasing her is her first husband Julius Suttor (1970), a son; Joseph Suttor (1995), sisters; Jennie Buckley, Phyllis Schweitzer, Mildred Dorpfeld, and Antoinette Grantham. Surviving her is her loving husband of 31 years; Frank l. Kane Jr. of Sparta, daughter in law Rose Suttor of Basking Ridge, sons; Frank L. Kane MD. And his wife Patricia, of Sparta, James Suttor of Nevada, daughters: Margaret Kane of California, Patricia Hanson of Nevada, a sister; Theresa Pelligrino of Clifton, thirteen grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited 9:30 AM Friday, November 20, 2009 to meet at church for a 10 AM funeral liturgy at Blessed Kateri RC Church 427 Stanhope Rd, Sparta. The family is accepting memorial donations in Josephine’s name to the Blessed Kateri Church Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of Goble Funeral Home, Sparta.
