I was blessed to know Kurt from childhood and to work with him as an adult. He was truly one-of-a-kind. He was always checking in on everyone, always on top of things, always remembered and would text me for my birthday..he was just that kind of guy. He never forgot about anyone or left anyone out.
 He was also so involved with his community and with the HighPoint community, attending our events like SKO and signing up for bowling league every year. I'll never forget bowling alongside him, the ever-present ribbing when I bowled poorly (frequent), and the also ever-present high fives and fist bumps when I surprisingly did well. 
I'll also never forget the way he bowled, I always thought he would break through the alley with the force at which the ball dropped!
Thank you Kurt for always being kind, always being there, and for always making those around you laugh and smile. 
We all miss you terribly.

I’ve known Kurt my whole life. When I found out, the memories came flooding in. Too many to mention here. Godspeed my friend. May you and Keith be skiing the mountains of heaven.

The world was a better place with you in it. As mischievous as you were, you always rose to the top with your capacity for love, friendship, compassion, understanding and humor. I was so lucky to have you in my life, and I will miss you terribly.

When I was in high school and preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation, I was asked to start thinking about, and eventually choose, a sponsor. This sponsor was to be someone in my life that I saw as a role model, an example; someone to look up to. A person whose guidance I could rely on to show me the right way. Who else could I ask for to be there for me, than my own Godfather and Uncle Kurt. He was quick to assume the role and was elated to do so. While we may not have gone to Church every Sunday or had talks about spiritual growth, he was my wingman and made sure to let me know that he had my back always. When I was away at college, he’d text me often to make sure I was keeping up with my studies, but also finding time to get out and have some margaritas. He’d tell me stories of him and my father, Keith, getting themselves into mischievous trouble when they were younger, about the beautiful friendship they shared growing up together, and the joy my dad found in his family, stories which I’ll forever be grateful to have heard from such an outstanding and life-enriching man. It was truly a privilege to have a Godfather and Uncle with such integrity, passion, courage, and love for life. I can only imagine how much you and my dad are shaking the dance floor in Heaven.

Words cannot express how sad I was to hear of my friend Kurt's passing. My heart goes out to Ronni and the kids. I hope they can find some comfort from friends and family during this difficult time. I last saw Kurt in person at Indianapolis Speedway when he invited me to join him to watch some racing. We had a great time talking about the times we spent as test drivers for Goodyear as well as racing go-karts and riding motorcycles. We had so much fun doing those activities together. Every time I got together with Kurt we talked about our families, our careers, and then we would start laughing about the times on the motorcycles and the go-karts. He truly was a good friend. We were going to try to play a round of golf together this summer but that can't happen now and  i am truly sad about that. He was taken from this earth too young. 
May God bless Ronni and the kids. Kurt will be missed by many people.

Though I did not know Kurt very long or very personally his love of life was so readily apparent and strong. Kurt was a great dad and husband that’s evident through the love he showed for his family. He will be missed dearly and his impact on all whom he met will not be forgotten.

This is such devastating news! Cory and I send our love and condolences to the whole family.
