Margaret Dey

SPARTA- Margaret M. Dey, passed into eternal life on Monday, November 7, 2016 at the age of 85. A resident of Sparta since 1977, Margaret had previously resided in Belleville, Kinnelon and Cinnaminson, New Jersey. Margaret was born in Lakehurst, NJ, daughter of Edward and Elsie Murphy, sister to Elsie Bell and Patricia Nyegaard. Wife of 63 years and sweethearts since 7th grade, to Arthur Dey. Mother to Steven Dey of Northeast Maryland, Susan Davenport of Franklin New Jersey, Patti Cowart and her husband Kenny of Beaufort South Carolina, Scott Dey and his wife Robin of Stillwater New Jersey, and Dolores Dey of Branson Missouri. Grandmother to Pamela Zinser, Steven Dey Jr., Tracy Davenport, Shelly Davenport, Dean Cowart, Kelli Hortman, Rebecca Dey and Catherine Dey. Great grandmother of nine. Margaret had been a book keeper and receptionist. Margaret loved to garden and enjoyed antique shopping, bird watching and seeing her grandchildren. Friends and family are invited on Friday from 5 to 8 pm to Goble Funeral Home 22 Main Street Sparta, NJ 07871. An 11am funeral chapel service will be held Saturday followed by interment in Sparta Cemetery.
