

Marie was born to Mary Coffey and James Donohue on November 17, 1933, in Brooklyn, New York. While studying nursing, she met her husband, the late Eduardo Ramos, a student from the Philippines at Columbia University. She was a long-time resident of the Westerleigh neighborhood in Staten Island, NY. Marie worked for the Visiting Nurse Association of Staten Island and retired as a Case Manager of Annadale HIP. For many years, she was a parishioner of St. Teresa’s Church. Marie enjoyed gardening, which she passed down to her daughter and granddaughters. She also loved English literature and poetry, which she read to her granddaughters. Marie enjoyed traveling internationally with her daughter, Jacqueline, and her granddaughters, Sarah Jane and Caroline.
Marie was a great example of a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She is predeceased by her former husband, Eduardo Ramos, and her brother James Donohue. Marie is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline Ramos-Pinsky; her granddaughter, Sarah Jane Krinsky (Pinsky); Sarah Jane's husband, Aaron Krinsky; her granddaughter, Caroline Alexis Pinsky; and Caroline's husband, Adriano Polimeni.
A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held on September 7th, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Lake in Sparta, NJ. A reception will follow at 1 Powder Horn Green, Sparta, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marie's memory may be made to the A.S.P.C.A. by clicking the link below.
