Patricia Marie Faherty

Patricia Marie Faherty, 21, of Sparta, NJ passed away at Morristown Medical Center on March 28, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born as the youngest of six children in Kamakura, Japan and moved to Sparta in 2000 by way of Atlanta. She attended Rev. George A. Brown School and graduated from Pope John XXIII High School in 2009. At Pope John, Tricia loved to sing and dance as a member of the Select Chorus and Drama Club. Patricia was a sophomore at Sussex Community College and on March 16, 2012 she was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society for her outstanding academic achievement. Tricia courageously faced the many personal challenges in her young life. She is survived by her parents, David and Kathryn Faherty; her grandmothers, Elizabeth A. Faherty and Sheila B. Kirkham; her brothers Lt. David E. Faherty III USN and his wife Meghan, Lt. Michael F. Faherty USN, Lt. (jg) Daniel J. Faherty, James A. Faherty and her sister Elizabeth A. Faherty. She is also survived by her beloved nieces Ali, Ava, Maura and Mairead. Joyful in life, courageous in suffering, now in God’s hands, Tricia will be greatly missed. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 10:30am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, 294 Sparta Ave., Sparta, NJ 07871.
