

Sparta, NJ- “My children are my hereafter” Richard Roy Earl passed away on Friday, May 9, 2014 at The Homestead in Newton, NJ, at 93 years of age. He was born in Sparta, NJ to Roy H. and Mabel (Redner) Earl, and was a fifth generation resident of Sparta. Richard served his country proudly with the US Army Air Corp during WW II. Richard was a self- employed proprietor, and worked as a skilled carpenter in the construction industry at Richard R. Earl and Son Builders of Sparta. He retired after many years, leaving his son James to continue the business. He was known to his family and friends as an avid golfer, woodworker, and great storyteller. Predeceasing Mr. Earl is his wife Janet L. (Hill) Earl of 47 years. Surviving him is his current spouse; Lillian (Fahey) Earl. Daughter: Carol Wosyluk and her husband Peter, Sons: Richard Earl and wife Patricia, James Earl and wife Dail, and David Earl and wife Donna; fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to a Life Celebration, Wednesday May 14, 2014 at 2 pm at West Milford Presbyterian Church 1452 Union Valley Rd West Milford, NJ 07480.
