

Richard Marshall Kelly, Born Oct.6, 1930 in, Franklin, N.J. son of Mary Earl Kelly and Phillip Kelly entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 12th surrounded by his family in Ocala; FL. Richard was a resident from Sparta, New Jersey for 40 years and then moved with his family to Sunapee NH. He has resided in Sunapee, Moultonborough, and Ocala, Florida. Richard graduated from Newton High School in 1948 and the University of South Carolina 1953. He then went on to receive a Masters in Vocational Education from University of New Hampshire. He spent 8 years serving our country in the Navy reserves with some time spent on the USS New Jersey. During his career in education he served as a teacher, vocational director, and school board member in both the Sparta NJ school district and the Sunapee NH school district. He was a devoted member of Rotary Club, Lyons Club and Kiwanis Club. Dick enjoyed dancing with Audrey and playing the drums. He loved living in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and watching and feeding the birds and wildlife. Also swimming and boating on Lake Sunapee. He was especially fond of watching his favorite sports teams on T.V. and making Swedish Pancakes like his grandmother did for his own family. In retirement, he loved playing golf and the gulf coast beach from their Florida House.He is survived by his wife of 61 years Audrey Kelly, 3 children Donna Kelly, Christine (Kelly) Merritz (husband George) and Richard Kelly Jr. (wife Laurianne) Four grandchildren Michelle (Merritz) Nicholson (husband Shaun), Patrick Kelly, Matthew Kelly and Lauren Kelly and three great grandchildren (Heather, Lily and Shaun Nicholson) .The family would like to express their eternal gratitude for the amazingly loving care from his favorite caregiver Christina

A 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday April 21st from Our Lady of the Lake RC Church 294 Newton-Sparta Rd Sparta, NJ 07871, followed by burial in Sparta Cemetery. .
