

Richard “Babe” F. Kramer of Newton, NJ left us all suddenly while celebrating his 40th Anniversary with the love of his life, Sharon in Sorrento, Italy. He was 61 years young. Richard was born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Manhattan, and resided in Newton for the past 26 years with his wife and two children. As a dedicated professional, for the past 16 years, he was the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Daffy’s Inc. He was very involved in his community and his children’s lives, coaching them in CYO basketball, Andover little league and Sparta softball as well as being everyone’s biggest fan. A devout Catholic, he was heavily involved with his church, as well as serving as president of the Pope John High School Booster Club for many years. A true gentleman, his loving smile and easy laugh will be forever missed by all who knew him. He has left a void that can never be filled.
Surviving him is his beloved wife of forty years, Sharon (Cassidy) and his precious best friends whom he adored, his loving children, Jennifer and Sean Patrick. Additionally, his three brothers; Robert Kramer (Patricia), Donald Kramer of NYC, John Kramer (Christine) of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl., and a sister; Virginia McShane (Joseph) of Chatham, NJ, 9 nieces/nephews, and 4 great nieces/nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Family and friends are invited Sunday from 2~4 & 6~8pm to Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main Street, Sparta, NJ. A 10 am Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta.
