

Born in Dublin, Ireland on September 12, 1979, Terence Edmond Kiff, “TK” grew up in Vernon and Sparta, NJ but spent the later part of his life in Brooklyn and Manhattan. He attended Pope John XXIII High School and completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television at New York University. He earned his Master of Science in Media and Communications from the London School of Economics.
For the majority of his journalism career, TK was a producer and editor at ABC News, covering breaking news and feature pieces. He curated the news division’s content that led to three consecutive Edward R. Murrow Awards for Overall Excellence. TK also earned two Peabody Awards for his editing work.
TK loved traveling the world. In addition to living in London while earning his degree, he spent time in Ireland, India, Thailand and Iceland. With his husband Andrew, they visited China, Amsterdam, Paris and Scotland. They went to Park City for the Sundance Festival and enjoyed wineries in California, New York and Virginia. They played with their nieces and nephews at the shore house in Spring Lake. Tk loved to cook and host friends and was known for his witty sense of humor.
TK was the beloved son of Cecilia Conforti and the late Terence Kiff and the stepson of the late Honorable N. Peter Conforti. He is survived by his husband Andrew Elsas and his siblings; James Kiff and wife Kelly; Catherine Kiff-Vozza; Christine Conforti; Carolann Bertolotti and husband Philip; Damian Conforti and wife Nicole. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins, both here and in Ireland and England. He leaves behind many friends who describe him as a bright light and special person in their lives.
Visitation for TK will be held Sunday, November 26th from 1PM – 3PM, followed by a brief service at Goble Funeral Home 22 Main St. Sparta, NJ 07871.
