Albert Ralph Kelling Jr.

Albert Kelling Jr. passed away March 15. 2023 at Deaconess Hospital. He was born October 7, 1936 in Spokane, Washington.

Albert grew up in the Hillyard area graduating from John R. Rogers in 1954 where he participated in baseball and cross country.He also boxed and played American Legion baseball. He loved Indy and nascar racing going to several races over the years.

Albert would meet his 2nd wife Marie who together were married 56 years. They enjoyed many years traveling with family and friends. They were snowbirds to Casa Grande, AZ. for several years.

Albert served 10 years in the Army Reserve. He worked 43 years for the Great Northern Railroad and BNSF Railroad as a carman.

Albert was the son of Albert Ralph Kelling Sr. and Zelda (Atkinson) Kelling. He is survived by his wife Marie, brothers Ron Kelling(Angie), Charlie Kelling (Helen), his sister Marge Dewey(Jim), and sister-in-law Rea Kelling. From his 1rst marriage he is survived by his children Kim Bishop(Leroy), Kayrene Beers(Craig), Curt Kelling(Lisa), and a son from his 2nd marriage Jim Kelling. His grandchildren are Bryce Bishop(Cecily), Blake Bishop(Bekah), Cassie Slippy(Dave), Kelsey Beers, Kiona Smith(Soren), Taiz Kelling, and Zachary Kelling. Albert also leaves behind his great grandchildren Callihan Bishop, Ella Slippy, Grant Slippy, and Kierra Kelling. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was predeceased by his sister Kathy Sisson, brother-in-law Cork Sisson, his brother Ken Kelling. and his parents.

A memorial will take place at the Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home 1306 N. Pines Rd. Spokane Valley, Wa. on April 29, 2023 (Sat) at 2 PM.
