A Tribute to a Life of Impact
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Larsen on January 18th, 2025. A beloved father and cherished friend to many, Craig was a true pillar of the Downtown Spokane community.
Craig was born on September 11, 1960 to James D. Larsen and Judith Ann Harper. He graduated from University High School in 1978 and Eastern Washington University in 1990.
Craig was a man of strong character, unwavering integrity, and a heart of gold. His devout Christian faith guided his life and his commitment to helping others in need. His generosity, kindness, and unwavering spirit will be deeply missed.
For many years, Craig owned and operated the Red Room Lounge (formerly known as Jimmy'z). What began as a humble cafe and newspaper stand was transformed by Craig's vision into a thriving bar and restaurant. The Red Room Lounge was more than just a bar; it was a gathering place where friendships were forged, memories were made, and support was offered to countless individuals.
Craig is survived by his sons and their families: Grant and his wife Sarah, along with their daughters Ellie and Mia; Michael and his wife Eugenia, along with their daughters Madisen and MaKenzie; and Derik and his wife Kandis, along with their sons Kessler and Decker. He is also survived by his brothers, Jim and Curt, and his sister, Michelle.
A memorial service to celebrate Craig's life will be held at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home on Feb 8th at 12pm.
May his memory be a blessing.
