children born to Matthew and Ruth E. McManus. She married Glen Sams formerly of Walla
Walla, WA. Kaye & Glen were high school sweethearts at St. Patrick’s High School after she
had transferred from St. Joseph’s Academy in Pendleton, OR. Kaye was born March 11th, 1939
in Freewater, OR. They were married June 14th, 1958 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in
Walla Walla. Kaye is survived by her six children Joe (Sheilah), Jack, Valerie (Jim), Jon
(Erika), James, Stacey, fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Kaye and Glen
are members of St. Mary’s Parish in the Spokane Valley. A Rosary service will be Monday,
May 4th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Spokane Valley at 7pm and a Funeral Mass on
Tuesday, May 5th at 11am at St. Mary’s. In lieu of flowers the family would like you to
donate to Hospice of Spokane in Kaye’s name.
