Kelly Jean Carstens

Kelly was born on August 23, 1961 in Spokane, WA.

She graduated from Central Valley High School. Kelly worked for Paris Beauty Supply for 10 years, and went on to work for Modern Electric Water Company for 27 years.

Kelly enjoyed baseball, basketball, football and golf. She loved her teams, Gonzaga basketball, the Seattle Mariners and the Seahawks. Her family and friends will always remember her as fun, loving, dedicated to family, friends, holidays and loving life.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Lyle Carstens, of 30 years; brothers Bruce McKinney and Marty Mckinney; Sister Teresa Stevens; step children Marty Carstens and Nadine Blanchard; niece Tawny McKinney; nephews Jeremy Tanksley, Brandon Tanksley and Trenton McKinney.

She is preceded in death by brother, Jay Patrick McKinney; Father Bruce D. McKinney; and Mother Jeanette R. McKinney.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 11 am and will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church; 304 S. Adams Rd. Spokane Valley, WA 99216

All are welcome to attend and celebrate Kelly's life.

The family would like to thank the Cancer Care Team and requests no Lily flowers at the service, as the priest is highly allergic to them.
