

Bob was born August 5, 1935 in Fairplay, Colorado to Bryant and Irene Adams and passed away, May 23, 2017. The family moved to Spokane Valley in 1946. He attended Vera Grade School; North Pines Jr. High and graduated from Central Valley High School in 1954. Bob married Shirley Hillstead in 1956 and had two daughters, Loreen Adams and Janice Tupper. He worked at Aluminum Supply, which later was Gifford Hill until 1981 and then started Adams ‘Fix n Finish’ antique furniture repair shop at his home in the Valley.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughters, Loreen and Janice (Butch); three grandchildren, Travis, Stacie and Jayson; four great-grandchildren, Brynn, Amos, Rozlyn and Branden; Brothers, James and George Adams.
Bob had and showed his 41 custom Ford coupe that he built. He also raced a fuel blown dragster at Deer Park. Motorcycles were his fancy plus building a 3 wheeled V-8 motorbike. He also restored several antique John Deere tractors, a 35 Ford pickup and received several trophies including the V-8 Club National President’s Choice at the Utah meet. He drove to over 14 nationals including Bronson, Missouri.
He was a member and past President of our local V-8 Inland Empire Ford Club; a member of the Valley Eagles; past member of the Dragins Auto Club and Inland Empire Timing Association.
Services include a viewing on Thursday, May 25th from 6:00 to 7:30pm at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home at 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, WA 99201. Funeral Service on Friday, May 26th at 9:30am at Hazen & Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
