May 2, 1937 — March 3, 2026
Robert “Bob” Collins—a veteran, a master tradesman, and a man who could fix just about anything—passed away on [Date]. Born on May 2, 1937, in Provo, Utah, to Don and Myrle Collins, Bob’s life was defined by a quiet strength and a hands-on approach to everything he did.
Bob proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Following his service, he dedicated over four decades—41.5 years—to his career as a Pipe Fitter for the Spokane Inland Empire Paper Company. His work ethic was legendary, and he was a steady, reliable presence at the mill until his retirement.
In October 1967, Bob married the love of his life, Sharron. Together, they built a beautiful and bustling family. Bob was the proud father of five children: Robert Collins (Elisse), Jaime Dye (Dennis), Shayne Cofer (Eddie Rocha), Jeff Collins (Julie), and Shelly Bayne (Jim). He was also the doting grandfather of five (Sarah, Brianna, Mordekye, Ryan & Melea) seven great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride.
A Life Outdoors and in the Shop
Bob was never one to sit still. He was an avid hunter who loved the freedom of the outdoors, whether he was on his motorcycle or out on the trails on his quad. He was famously known for owning every tool imaginable; if a project needed doing, Bob had the gear and the know-how to handle it. If you ever needed to find him, you didn’t have to look far—he was always tinkering in his shop, usually with a project spread out and a story to tell.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Sharron; his brother, Wayne Collins; his five children; and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Myrle, and his siblings, Myrlene Haskell, Richard Collins, and Eddie Collins.
