William Edward Knutsen, born March 8, 1937, passed away at the age of 85 on October 11, 2022. William was born to Fred and Eleanor Knutsen in Spokane, WA. Joining the Army he was stationed in the United States and eventually was sent to Germany, staying in the military several years. After finishing his time in the service he spent some time hitchhiking around the Mediterranean, in addition to travelling around Europe with friends, before coming home to the United States and began to settle.
Once he returned home he went to college and became an accountant, working in that capacity in several different industries. Once his parents got older and began to require assistance with their various medical issues he didn’t hesitate to step in. He took on that responsibility and cultivated a special relationship with his mom as he took care of her in the wake of her stroke.
William is survived by his brother, Richard Knutsen, and his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
