Don passed away on April 15, 2021 in Spokane, Washington. He was born in Spokane and was the eldest son of Claude and Edna Perry. He was the leader of the pack to his siblings and told many tales of their adventures. He attended Logan and Stevens schools before graduating from North Central in 1970. He joined the Navy in 1972 and was stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Oriskeny. Don married Glenda and had 2 children. They later divorced.
Don worked for the City of Spokane for many years before switching gears to truck driving. He loved his time on the road and had many stories to tell about his travels. He was often recognized for his safe driving and was closing in on his goal of 1 million miles with his company. He made many friends along the way.
Don had a life-long love of sports. He ran cross-country in high school . He played softball in Spokane for many years and he played basketball too. He was also an avid bowler and loved golfing. You could find him watching any kind of sport and he especially loved rooting for Seattle and Gonzaga.
Don married his sweetheart Teri in 1993. She also had 2 children. They created a loving home filled with laughter. Both were very involved with their church and community. At one time they both drove school bus in the Valley. They adored all of their “school kids”. Family, movies, sports and travel kept them busy until Teri's passing in 2016.
Don was preceded in death by his dear wife Teri, son Kyle, his loving grandparents, parents Claude and Edna and younger brothers Ricky and Kevin.
Don is survived by his siblings Jim, Debra, John and Robert. His children Jake (Marlenna), Michael (Jesse) and Sheri (Bat) and his grandchildren Makaila, Theya, Landon, Ben, Jacob and Kai.
He leaves behind many nephews, nieces and cousins. Don made friends wherever he went. He was a big kid at heart. He truly cherished his family and friends and will be forever missed.

Memorial will be held May 1st at the LDS Church at 21022 Wellesley Ave. in Otis Orchards, WA at 1 p.m. A small luncheon for family will follow the service.
