

Frosty was born on November 1, 1930 to Henry and Mary Ellen (Peters) Goodman in Plentywood, Montana. Frosty had 3 siblings, older sister Geraldine, younger sister Barbara and younger brother Sherrill. Frosty spent his childhood years in Plentywood with his family until they moved to Spokane in 1945. During his high school years he played the trombone in the school pep band, orchestra, and received an award at a competition with the Northwest Band at a competition. He was also Home room president and was the co-chairman for the Research Committee. He graduated in 1948 from John R. Rogers high school in Spokane. Then went on to college at Gonzaga University in Spokane and finishing his Bachelor of Arts in Business at University of Idaho in 1955.
Frosty married Jacqueline Colleen McFetridge on August 21, 1951 in Coeur d'alene, Idado. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1986. Frosty remarried in 1988 to Joanne Brunlan in Auburn, Washington. Their marriage ended in divorce in 1989.
Frosty was in the Naval reserves during his college years and was commissioned into active duty in 1955 upon his completion of his degree. Frosty became a Naval aviator and flew Douglas AD aircraft off of carriers. The Navy took Frosty and his family on assignments that included California, Florida and Guam. Frosty was honorably discharged in August of 1962.
Frosty and his family moved to Japan in 1962 where he was self employed with his business “American Auto Sales”. They left Japan and moved to Taiwan in 1966. In Taiwan Frosty continued his business of selling automobiles, mainly Ford products, and lived there until 1977. Frosty and his family then moved to Korea for 6 months returning to Spokane, Washington in 1977. Frosty continued being self employed selling life insurance and retirement plans. In 1979 Frosty and his family moved to Kent, Washington. In 1986 Frosty moved to Auburn, Washington where he lived until 2006. In 2006 Frosty moved back home to Spokane, Washington for the last time.
During Frosty’s time in the Seattle area he was a dedicated docent at the Museum of Flight at Boeing Field logging in more than 2,400 hours. Every Friday he looked forward to his 5 hour shift guiding museum guests through the museum sharing stories about the planes along with his own personal stories of his time in the Navy. He was very proud to be a part of the Museum of Flight. Frosty was a lifelong member of VFW Flying Tiger Post 9957 and also was a member of the Republican National Committee volunteering as a precinct officer for 20 years going door to door each election to get the word out for people to vote. Frosty was a passionate Republican. Frosty was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed gardening.
His three children, son Steven and his wife Julie of Spokane, WA, daughter Kimberly and her husband Richard Akers of Oakton, VA, and son Michael of Joseph, OR survive Frosty. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, Stephanie, Zachary, Cassandra, Jarrod, and Alecia Goodman all of Spokane, WA and Sarah, Rachel and Michael Akers of Oakton, VA. Frosty was a Great Grandpa to Tiara of Spokane, WA. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His brother Sherrill and his wife Lois Goodman of Palm Springs, Arizona also survive Frosty.
Frosty’s parents and his sisters Geraldine (Goodman) Hashagan of Post Falls, Idaho and Barbara (Goodman) Trewhella of Ft. Collins, Colorado preceded Frosty in death.
Frosty’s family would like to acknowledge and greatly thank the entire staff at Regency at North Pointe for their dedicated, kind, and caring attention they gave to him. Frosty was very happy there.
No services will be held as Frosty had requested his ashes be buried at sea.
