

Frances (Gibson) Sodoma went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on December 27, 1933. She graduated from Mastbaum Vocational Technical High School with an emphasis in commercial business. Frances worked in clerical jobs and attended Philadelphia School of the Bible at night. It was while working in Washington DC, at International Students, Inc. that she met her husband, Donald Sodoma and they were married on September 28, 1957 in Philadelphia at Bethel Temple. Fran and Don moved to Minnesota where they raised their family of 6 children. The family eventually moved to Washington State and she resumed clerical work at Airborne Express. Fran loved to read, write stories, and bake and was active in her church teaching Sunday school and going on several mission trips to Honduras. Above all, she was known for her kind and sweet demeanor, always finding the positive in every person and situation. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and William Gibson, siblings, George, Bill and Mary, husband Donald, son Paul, and grandson Jake. She is survived by her children Charles Sodoma, Mary Jordan (spouse Larry) Phil Sodoma (spouse Hong) Sue Tyree (spouse Derek) and John Sodoma (spouse LJ), 12 grandchildren: Zack, Spencer, Halle, Collin, Stephanie, Avery, Tara, Nathan, Demi, Keegan, Andrew, and 5 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in her honor at Redemption Church in Medical Lake at 1pm on Saturday, April 10th.
