Gloria was born in Seattle, WA to Kikuno and Kenji Kimura on November 23, 1915 and passed away at 102 years of age on January 26, 2018. She married the day before she turned 21, to the love of her life, Yonesaku Ota. They had 8 children together. Martin (Naomi), Karl (Joyce), Doug (Gladys), Geoff (Judy), Christine, Curt (Ellen), Bruce and Mariye (Mike) Cina. Her children gave her 21 grandchildren, many more great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. During World War II the family was sent to internment camp in Idaho, and relocated to Spokane when they were released. Gloria worked for the Crescent department store for many years, and then for Washington Water Power from where she retired. A service will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 10, 2018. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Spokane. A few other charities that she favored were St. Jude, American Cancer Society and the Humane Society. Yone and Gloria are now dancing in Heaven.
