Jim was born October 14, 1931 in Glendale, California to Virginia (Roberts) Reynolds and Clayborne Reynolds. After graduating High School, Jim enlisted in the US Navy. He served during the Korean War. Later Jim attended Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, on a Navy scholarship. While at Pepperdine he played football and was very proud that he was able to the play in the "Granddaddy of Them All," the Rose Bowl.
As a career, Jim retired from Citibank. He received many accolades in his profession, even winning several trips to Hawaii and the Virgin Islands for exceptional performance. Jim and his wife Merrie Kay loved to travel together. He was known as a true & classy gentleman. Jim was a kind and loving father and grandfather to all the children. His kindness toward others will never be forgotten by his family.
Jim is survived by his wife, Merrie Kay Reynolds; daughter Diane Beaton-Visoul (Hans) of Harrison, Idaho; son Darren Reynolds of Santa Monica, California; step-daughter April Renner (Dan) of Nine Mile Falls, Washington; and step-daughter Charlyn Myers (Brian) of Arlington, Washington; granddaughter Katie Renner, granddaughter Kristina Renner, granddaughters Chelsea and Mary, granddaughter Kaylyn Cohen (Aaron), grandson Chris Myers, grandson Justin Myers (Melissa) and great granddaughter Charlotte Myers.
Jim was preceded in death by father Clayborne Reynolds and mother Virginia (Roberts) Reynolds. He will be missed by all who knew him.
There will be a private family remembrance followed by inurnment at the Washington State Veteran's Cemetery at 21702 W Espanola Rd, Medical Lake, WA 99022.
