Charlotte & I are sorry we could not attend Pastor Terry's Memorial.  We are presently in AZ. We will surely miss him.  We remember when he and Bernadine brought Serene and Serill into a meeting at Fruitland Bible Camp as babies.  He had a love for Fruitland Camp.  He was director of the Camp at one time. He made a major impact on our children in those informative years as Pastor of Newport Assembly of God.  He called our daughter Michelle, Snow White, and would treat Charlotte with Peter Pan Peanut butter which he knew she Loved! He was always helpful when we were involved in projects with our home.  He helped me reroof a house on Diamond Lake as an example.  I remember meeting with Pastor Jim in his barbershop in Medical Lake requesting him to take the Pastors' position in Newport.  We enjoyed stopping by his shop to visit when we came to town.

I will really miss Jim as he was a very special friend and a wonderful man. I loved his jokes too!
I met Jim when he was the instructor at Reed's Barber College. My fiance, Jim Corbit had become a student barber under Jim's watchful eye. I will never forget my Jim telling me that his instructor had him give him a shave and a haircut on his 1st day of school. Jim did not cut Jim and gave him a perfect haircut too. Jim told my Jim that he was a natural for being a barber and that he would go far in becoming a licensed barber and he did in Missoula, Montana.
Thankyou, Jim and now you and my Jim can play cribbage together and tell jokes. My sympathies to the family and thanks for sharing a wonderful man in your lives. Sharon Corbit

We are sure going to miss having those talks and listening to funny stories that Jim told being our family barber For 30 +years and friend and a mentor which has been a big part of our life in so many ways from his son Dale being my music mentor in high school and Wayne being a mentor to my family so in closing i would like to say Jim Terry you will be so missed and thank you for sharing you and your family for making our family's path blessed i know you are looking over us

Sure going to miss seeing Jim and sitting in his old barber chair but more then that I'll miss all the great talks we had, he was just one super guy and I'll never forget him as they just don't make them like Jim anymore. Jim was one of the biggest blessings to my Dad (Wayne) during Mom's child bearing.  I will always appreciate his blessing Dad.  He began cutting my hair in 1966 when coming to Medical Lake to pastor.  He gave me my last haircut in our machine shop several weeks ago.  I am so happy for his being with our Savior!

Jim, I will miss having our political discussion once a month. Thanks for being a good friend and coming to my house to cut my hair when I was not able to get out. We used to joke a lot about your bad haircuts but I came back every month. Thanks again for being a friend.

Our deepest condolences to your family at Jim's passing.

What a Guy!  Never a dull moment when getting together with Jim Terry.  Dad and he would laugh together until they were both shaking and crying! My husband, Gene, still marvels at Jim's ability to be one step ahead of all the boys at camp! One of the Best gone on home - just where he wanted to be!  We'll never stop remembering, telling stories and wishing we could be doing it all together again!  Dale, Wayne, Serill and Serene, you are blessed to have had such a Giant in the Faith for your dad.  We are praying that God will sustain each of you during this time.

To Wayne and the family of Jim Terry, my deepest sympathy to each of you. He was a long time friend of my husband Bob and became part of our family while we lived at Bluecreek.  He will be missed by so many,but has finally reached his destination. God love him. Lois Steele

I know of no other man who knew and quoted the Scriptures like Pastor Jim. Also, if anyone had boasting rites for military service it was him. However, he spoke more of the Scriptures than he did his service to our country. As the Apostle Paul stated, "I boast in Christ and Him crucified." - Pastor Jim is truly one worthy of following in his footsteps.

Dear Wayne and family,
    My heart and prayers are with you at this time of sorrow. " Mr. Terry", as I knew him from my high school days, was the perfect example of how we should move through this life. He arrived on this Earth ready to make a difference and he certainly did. Such a great story of determination and stamina to have a life well lived...all done in service to all things right and kind. His children and grandchildren are certainly carrying his light forward. We all have learned from Mr. Terry...and we are all better for having known him. He will be with us in our hearts forever.

To Wayne and Family. I only met your father a few times at Lake City Assembly but I loved him. Wayne, you took after your father in many areas but especially in love of our country. As a 29 year Vet myself, may I "Salute" you father for one last time. Salute!!!

Heaven got a gem back. We're so inspired & blessed by his life. He never gave up ministering without title or pay he loved God & people.

We were very sad to hear of Jim's passing. So many memories and stories to treasure! Our love and prayers are with you all during this sad time.

Your Dad was a very influential part of my childhood. He baptized me in Silver Lake. I look forward to seeing him again one day. I'm guessing he and Dad are having a good visit about now and maybe Dad is getting a decent haircut again. :) Our condolences on your loss.

My heart goes out to the Terry family. Many wonderful memories of Mr. Terry... riding his bike through Medical Lake, cutting hair in his barbershop and teaching by example how to live a life surrendered to God. He will be missed here as he is embraced in heaven.

We loved your dad and will miss him greatly when we come home and he is no longer around.  We wondered when we last saw him if we would see him again when we come home.  I have so many fun childhood and teenage memories of him and your mom at Davenport Gospel Tabernacle - C.A. parties, etc. Also of riding with him in the wheat trucks - he was always so much fun and protective of us when the passenger door would periodically fly open!  Adulthood memories include him and Bernie being so hospitable to us when we moved out to the lake. Their friendship drew Rob into the Pentecostal walk even before we were married. And, of course, no one could cut Rob's hair like he could!  We felt sad today as I was giving him a haircut - 2nd best to Jim!  I appreciate him giving me lessons the first winter we came to Florida.  Now it's sad to think he will never cut Rob's hair again. He was a special man to us!  Another one of the spiritual pillars in my life is now safely in Heaven, and we look forward to seeing him again!

Pastor Terry was my pastor while growing up in Newport, WA. I have many wonderful memories of this great man. I will see you again one day!

Farewell to a beloved pastor and friend.  I have happy childhood memories of "Brother Terry" as we called him.  His twinkling eyes and ready laugh endeared him to me, and he demonstrated joy in following Christ. His hugs were warm and loving.

Wonderful memories of a loving man. You will be missed.

May God the Father welcome Jim Terry into his open arms and embrace him as a faithful servant to Him, a father, and a genuine friend to his community.  I will never forget the many wonderful conversations, stories, and laughs we shared seated in his barber chair.  He will be truly missed but remembered warmly always.  Rest in the arms of the Lord my friend, you earned it.
