Kevin Thomas Steward, age 68, died of pneumonia on December 27th 2025, in Spokane, WA.

Kevin is survived by his sons, Brandon Steward (Haley), Josh Ferrell (Stephanie), Aaron Steward, James Steward, William Steward, and daughter, Kala Ferrell Curran (Anthony). He has 4 grandchildren: Emma Curran, Shawn Curran, Olivia Ferrell, and Benjamin Ferrell.

Kevin is also survived by his brothers, Gary Steward (Lorna), Joel Steward (Rhonda), his sister Pam Lehinger (Scott)….as well as many loving nephews and nieces.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, William O. (Jack)Brown and Virginia (Blubaugh) Brown, father Jack Albert Steward, his mother Jacquita Brown Steward Leaming, and his sister Debra Steward Jacobson.

Kevin Steward was born on March 6th, 1957, in Spokane, WA. to parents Jack Albert Steward and Jacquita Steward. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in Spokane, WA. He had various employment opportunities, including the Chemical Dependency Unit of Deaconess Hospital. Under the training of his Grandpa Brown, Kevin became very skilled with his hands in electrical and mechanical work. He could fix anything. He could even catch a fly in mid-air! One of his great joys was creating drones from small to very large. He enjoyed flying them, especially the largest perfected drones, in the parks and expanding to more vast areas of land. Admiring viewers would be in awe at Kevin’s creations.

He dealt with many medical issues, including a double bypass at just 46 years old, neck and back injuries due to employment in a nursing facility, and nearly constant pain throughout the years, which left him physically disabled until bedridden.

We are most Grateful to God, as He was one-on-one with Kevin, especially evident in his final hours, as he specifically saw angels and named family members who preceded him to Heaven. Kevin is now Celebrating his long-awaited freedom with them there. He died in complete Rest and Peace.
