Melvin Joseph Abrahamson was born April 1, 1942, in Chewelah WA. He is survived by his sons, Clarence Holt and Rodney Abrahamson; his daughter, Denise Abrahamson; his 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three siblings, James Abrahamson, Tommy Abrahamson and Delores Smallwood and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Milo and Millie Abrahamson; his wife, Helen Abrahamson and daughter, Jackie Abrahamson. Melvin served in the United States Army from 1960-1963 and enjoyed when he was stationed in Germany. Thereafter he met the love of his life and they had four children together. He enjoyed watching his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids grow up and loved to take them fishing and hunting. He was a die-hard Zags fan and still believes in the Mariners. Melvin passed away peacefully while surrounded by family at his home in Ford, WA, on Sunday, March 13, 2022. Wake and Rosary 7PM Tuesday night with funeral services Wednesday 10AM at the Spokane Tribal Long House.
