I will always remember Mike as I was over the house so many times in our childhood years as Alice Tighe was my best friend.   

Mike was always there for his brothers and stepped up to the plate as man of the house to look after John and Jimmy as well as Alice had her whole life.  He Is truly missed and as I write this memory today 8/26/20, Alice has just passed away from this earth  much too soon on August 20, 2020.  I believe that she and Mike are reunited with both parents and are always going to be shining light and love down to all of us and looking out for John and Jim as well.   God Bless you Mike and now your sister Alice too.  You are loved and missed!  Debbie Russo


One of my fondest memories of Mike is when I was visiting from out of state, and Aunt Jackie decided Mike would take me into the city ...he did not seemed thrilled at this directive, but off we went, I can still hear Aunt Jackie hollering as we left, she likes a big lunch !
We had such a great time, Museum of Art, St Patricks ... just walking and talking, enjoying each other’s company.
That evening we went to a local Irish bar and listened to music and old Irish men argue politics, ha ha
That day I really got to know my cousin Mike, and am forever grateful to my Aunt Jackie for our “forced” day.  I think Mike is too because we kept in touch after that
with lengthy phone calls - he was s talker!

John, Jimmy, and Alice,

Mike was truly a unique and colorful character.  I always enjoyed his intelligence, wit, and friendship.  I remember how, on a moments notice, he generously drove my brothers and I to Connecticut when my car was stuck in a garage in New York upon our return from a trip to Ireland.  One was never in want of interesting and insightful conversation in Mike’s presence. I will truly miss him.  He was a great friend.  My thoughts and prayers to all of you in this difficult time.
