Nancy Ann Pierce was born May 22, 1945 in Spokane, Washington to Lucille and Joseph Taylor. She graduated from Freeman High School in 1964 and married her high school sweetheart, Duane Gordon Davey. They had one child, Tamara Ann Davey Schultes.
Nancy married Ronald Dean Pierce in 1969 and were married 52 years until her passing. They had two more children, Dean Thomas Pierce, and Christopher Brian Pierce.
Nancy was gifted with being creative and artistic and was an entrepreneur from the start. In her earlier years she owned a small plant and gift store. Later years she started a wedding coordinating business with a friend where she could show off her talent in making floral arrangements and decorating for weddings. She enjoyed making floral arrangements so much that her grandchildren benefited by receiving beautiful corsages and boutonnieres for free while in high school.
Nancy loved being a grandmother and she would do anything for her grandchildren. She was very proud of each and enjoyed spending time with them at family gatherings, one-on-one shopping excursions, camping, boating etc. She always quoted to her granddaughters “Love you to the moon, stars and back” which will remain within their hearts for eternity.
Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Taylor and sister, Ginny Lewis. She is survived by her husband, mother, brothers David Taylor and Roger Taylor, her three children, 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Nancy touched a lot of people in her lifetime with her fun-loving ways, sarcastic jokiness, and wittiness and she will be forever missed.
Memorial donations can be made to Breast Cancer Awareness. A Celebration of Life will be held on her birthday, May 22, 2021, Spokane Valley, Washington. Location and time to be announced.
