Patty & George lived in Montana, Mississippi, Oregon, Utah and finally settled in Deer Park, Washington when George retired from the U.S. Air Force In 1970.
Patty lived a full life as a devoted wife, wonderful mother & homemaker. She worked as a secretary & bookkeeper both outside the house and later from home. She loved to cook, kept an immaculate house, and was highly skilled with knitting needles, knitting machines, and crochet hooks. In the early 1970’s she owned & managed The Yarn Shop in Deer Park. She loved to camp and travel. Camping was a summertime staple which they did often, starting with tent camping and then with a travel trailer and eventually an RV. Once the girls were raised, George and Patty hit the road in their RV. They traveled throughout Washington, Oregon, California, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming, meeting many wonderful people, and seeing wonderful places. Their favorite get away was camping in the mountains along creeks & rivers where they could fish and enjoy the outdoors.
