I just read about Pauline Hass' passing, and am deeply saddened by this! She was my Art teacher at Whitworth (College then) from 1970 to 1973.  Everything I do now is with the intensity of creativity she helped foster in me! I moved to North Idaho from San Francisco, and wanted to see her again and a show of hers. I wanted to tell her how much she inspired me in life, and how much she meant to me!  I feel badly that this could not happen.

The Spokane art community has suffered a tremendous loss with the passing Pauline Haas.  She was always generous with her time and talent.  And she created joyous and beautiful art. Thank you Pauline, you'll be missed.

I cleaned Pauline's home for over 20 years. I so enjoyed our many conversations about her love of her family and how her fondest memories are of  priest lake. I was treated so special  by Pauline as I grief the loss of a very dear friend , I also rejoice for her as I can only imagine the joy she feels as she is united with our maker. I can also see that twinkle in her eye return as she will be reunited with Gus her late husband of many years. Our earthly loss and Heavens gain. The loss of our dear Pauline Hass.

Judy and Joe, I have many fine memories of both of your parents, mostly from summer days at Priest Lake.  I send my heartfelt condolences.

Pauline was such a positive person to be around. She was so enthusiastic about where she was in the moment.
