Ronald E. Steele (age 71) passed away June 15, 2012 in Spokane, Washington. Ron was born September 13, 1940 in Early, Iowa to Clarence and Alyce (Thompson) Steele. He spent his younger years in California and Minnesota before the family moved to Spokane in 1955 where Ron graduated from North Central High School. He worked as a security guard for many years for Western Security, and has worked for Dealers Auto Auction since 2001. Ron was also a member of the Eagles Lodge in Spokane Valley. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his sister, Janet Lynd (Ron) of Airway Heights; brother, Larry Steele of Spokane; a niece, Chrystal Steele; three nephews, Gordon House, David House, Matt House; and great nephew, Benjamin Brown. No public services will be held. Arrangements entrusted to Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N. Monroe St. in Spokane.
