Terre was my closest friend in Scouts.  Whether it was monthly campouts, weekly troop meetings, frigid door-to-door holly sales, or big trips like the National Jamboree, we were at each other's side.  I can't think of those years without thinking fondly of him, and of his mother and grandparents.  Though our paths diverged after high school, I will always remember his good humor, generosity, and friendship.

My name is Travers and I was very saddened to learn of Terry's passing.  Terry was one of my best friends through middle school and high school, and although I didn't appreciate it at the time, he made those years better by being part of them.  We did everything crazy teenagers do together and even some that most don't - like going horseback riding down by Riverside State Park.  I remember us being dressed head to toe in red for the rubber chicken game when we got hit by a careless driver.  I remember so many marching band trips together and shared hotel rooms.  I remember the old football coach trying to recruit us and so we agreed to join the "throwers" on track and field doing shot put and discus.  I was never a scout, but I remember celebrating with him after he became an Eagle Scout - he was so proud.   
Terry was a good guy and a good friend.  I regret drifting apart as we went off to different colleges and life took us in different directions.  But I'll never forget that good guy and good friend.
