Virginia Lee Fleming (84) of Spokane, Washington passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2025. She was born Oct. 12, 1940 in Yakima, WA to Stanley and Iva Ellis. She graduated from Rogers High School in Spokane in 1958 and then went to work for the Spokane Public School District. In the summer of 1959, while attending a party with a friend, she met Vic, who was in the Air Force. Four months later, on October 24 they were married. Between them, they had five children. Virginia is survived by her husband Vic, her brother Darryl (Leslie) Ellis of Yuma, Arizona, her brother Joe Ellis of Spokane, Washington, her daughter Debbie (Steve) Lusk of Rio Linda, California, her son Dan (Wendy) Fleming of Kalama, Washington, her daughter Pam (Ed) Gates of Spokane, Washington, 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. Virginia was preceded in death by her son David (Barbara Fleming - lives in Ashland, Missouri) and her son Doug of Spokane. The funeral service will be held September 2nd at 2:00 pm at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home, 5100 W Wellesley Ave., Spokane, Washington 99205.
