“Bill”
Went to join his identical twin brother, Larry, in heaven, on Friday, September 30, at Valley Hospital and Medical Center. Bill was born on November 20, 1918, to Owen and Mamie Sampson, in Puyallup, Washington. He worked for Nalley’s Fine Foods for 36 years, transferring from Tacoma, to Billings, Montana, to Albuquerque, New Mexico, and finally to Spokane in 1966, finishing his career with Nalley’s in 1981 with his wife, Frances (Fran), where they have continued to reside. Bill enjoyed running the fish booth at the Spokane Interstate Fair for Kiwanis for 10 years drawing on his expertise from Nalley’s. Bill recently participated in an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C., to see the opening of the WWII Memorial with long time friends Durwood Johnson and Jim Weisen. He is survived by his wife, Fran, and daughters Janice (Joel) Magnuson and Joanne (Ron) Turner, and grandchildren Brian Magnuson and Sara (Mike) Kruger. Memorial contributions may be made to Missions Department at Spokane Valley Church of the Nazarene 15515 E. 20th Ave Spokane Valley 99216, where the memorial service will held on Tuesday, October 4th at 3:00PM.
