Beverly Arlene Richards Law, age 86, a resident of Stone Lake, WI, and formerly of White Bear Lake, MN, passed away at Golden Living in Hayward, WI, on April 13, 2013. Bev was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, who always put everyone else’s needs before her own.
Bev was born on February 22, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis and spent her childhood summers picking raspberries on her aunt & uncles farm in Hutchinson, MN. While attending Central high school, she worked at Fulton’s dress shop in St. Paul, riding the streetcar back and forth. She graduated in 1946. On January 23, 1947, she married Reynold D. Law, and thus began her life as the wife of a United States Marine. After spending the next 20 years raising her 6 children, Bev was employed outside the home, working for the Kari Chiropractic Clinic and Montgomery Wards central accounting office. Bev enjoyed spending time with family & friends, traveling, cooking, shopping, making ceramics, & going to movies.
Bev is survived by and will be greatly missed by her children: Douglas (Sue), Mary (Jeff), Cindy (John), Michael (Louise), & Michele (Jason), her 6 grandchildren, & 20 great grandchildren.
Bev was preceded in death by her mother Marie, father Lowell, husband Reynold, son Donald, & grandson Steven.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1pm Monday April 21 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Spooner, WI. Visitation will be on Monday at the church for one hour before the service. Burial will be held at the Northern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery near Spooner, WI.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association of WI.
Thank you to friends, family, and health care workers who provided loving and compassionate care for Bev over the last few years.
