Robert “Elmer” was born on November 24, 1939 to Harold and Emily (Schmidt) Hansen in Racine, Wisconsin. He grew up in Racine and attended Park High School in Racine. Elmer retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service. He loved to ride ATVs fishing, and hanging out with his friends.
Elmer is survived by; three sons, Todd Hansen of Shiocton, WI, Timothy (Nancy) Hansen of Racine, WI, and Thomas (Chris) Hansen of Antioch, IL, one sister, Joyce Bruhn of AZ, one brother, Jay Hansen of IL, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents and his wife Carlene.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 16, from 4 until 6 pm at Dahl Funeral home in Spooner.
