Zella (Grove) White Nelson

She was born August 27, 1919 at Earl, WI to Manfred and Etta (Elder) Grove.

Zella graduated from Spooner High School in 1938. She married Norman White October 6, 1938 at St. Paul, MN. They started White Armature Rewinding in Minneapolis, MN in 1958. They moved the business to Earl, WI in 1966 (its present location).

After the death of her first husband, Norman, she married Marven Nelson, April 20, 1972 at Brookings, SD. When not working hard in the family business, she enjoyed going to dances, snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, traveling in her motor home, camping, and playing cards with friends. Zella was a great cook and enjoyed having huge dinners for the family.

Survivors include two sons Leroy (Sharon)White, Jay (Michele) White of Earl, WI; one daughter Kay White of Sparta, WI; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husbands Norman White and Marven Nelson, two sons Larry White and Lester White, half brother Bill Billings, and daughter-in-law Patricia White.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Dahl Funeral Home in Spooner, WI with Pastor Ben Kidder officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Earl Cemetery in Earl, WI.
